Porcelain

Porcelain is a manufactured surface available in virtually any shade or pattern and is often made to look like marble and other natural stones. The pattern is imprinted on top of the porcelain, making it a versatile choice to match any design.

No surface is 100% stain resistant, but porcelain comes close. It is a non-porous surface that does not absorb liquids or bacteria and can be kept clean easily. Additionally, porcelain is resistant to most chemicals and will not etch or get dull spots from acidic foods and drinks like marble and quartzite countertops. Porcelain countertops are heat resistant also.

Porcelain Countertops for the Kitchen

Porcelain kitchen countertops withstand heat, scratching, staining, and UV light. They even resist bacteria thanks to how non-porous they are. Because the color and pattern of a porcelain kitchen countertop is printed on the surface, the design will not be visible on the edges. For this reason, all porcelain edges that do not come up against a wall need to have another piece of porcelain mitered to create an edge. Straight edges are the only option for porcelain. Our sales team is knowledgeable about working with porcelain and can guide you through the process.
